• Why is WitnessTrackers.com only for attorneys?

  There are several reasons. We know that as an attorney, you have a legitimate reason to want find someone. We cannot be so sure of the motives when dealing with the public. As an attorney, you also have a ready need for our services. Further, when conducting a search for an individual for “legal compliance” purposes, we have access to more information from those sources!

• Do you guarantee a successful outcome?

  No. Like you, we are paid for our time and effort. Because we are providing more than raw database searches, we must be compensated for our investigator’s time.

  As privacy issues continue to restrict access to personal information and as more Americans use cellular telephones and post office drop boxes for their mail, the locate process has become more involved and more time intensive.

  Lastly, we have no control over the amount or type of information that may be available about our subject. Some people who are intentionally trying to hide, those engaged in criminal conduct or those who have very dire economic conditions are simply not locatable without expending a great deal of money. In other cases, we will attempt to locate the subject using the information provided by our client only to find that this information is inaccurate to begin with.

  Accordingly, all fees are non-refundable and not contingent upon any specific outcome.

• What can be done if the subject is not located within the Basic Skip Trace investigation?

  Like any investigation, we can continue the investigation and develop more sources to contact. In some cases, a subject may not be available to reach by telephone and we may need to send an investigator out to their neighborhood to further the investigation.

  In these cases, we charge $ 75.00 per hour for our time and will determine a budget with you before work commences.

• Do I have to pay before work commences? Do I have to pay by credit card?

  Unless you are a repeat client, we do ask for our fee up front and a credit card is the quickest way to get started. In the event that you wish to pay by check, please forward payment to our National Headquarters at the following address, along with your order form generated from our site to:

• Why have you asked if you can tell the subject and/or their associates that you are searching for them?

  In some instances, the locate may be a friendly one and being able to tell the subject or those close to them that we encounter who we are and that we need the subject to get in touch with you makes the process much quicker and frequently more successful. Obviously there are many other instances when you need to keep our investigation confidential.
